Hello there! My name is Dodger and I’ve been adoptable for over 9 years in Florence on the Oregon Coast. I am one of the longest residents at Oregon Coast Humane Society, and I know that the right family is out there waiting for me. I am a charming senior gentleman and tend to lean up against the person I love. And, even for my age, I am very active and strong. I enjoy taking leisurely walks and easy hikes. Sometimes my bones get crickety, but hey — it happens with age.

Most adopters in my area are interested in smaller dogs. So, I’ve been waiting…a really, really long time for a family of my own. And, I need your help in finding a perfect forever home. If you believe that all dogs have the right family out there, can you help me find mine? I have earned my “Canine Good Citizen” certificate in September of 2012 because i’m a great dog.

My ideal home would be with some active retirees since I get very anxious when I’m left alone. I am looking for someone who understands me and is willing to work to help me understand that you aren’t going to leave me behind if you leave the house. Although I absolutely love humans, I do not get along with other animals very well thus I want to be your one and only pet. I already love you, and can’t wait to meet you.
