Meow! I’m Goldie, an affectionate and talkative senior calico lady. I’m looking for a nice, quiet home for my retirement. When my person passed away earlier this year, I was lucky enough to find Animal Aid, but now I am SO ready to find my forever home.

I love people, and I’m a gentle, low-key lady. If you’re sitting in a chair, I will come and put my paws on your leg to ask for some petting. I don’t do much jumping these days, and my legs are kind of shaky (likely from some past injury.) I do have a pretty bad case of hyperthyroidism, which the humans here are working their best to control with medication.

I guess I’m a work in progress, but I’m not high maintenance; I usually eat my pills in a pill pocket, and aside from my monthly blood checks, I don’t need a lot of special care right now.

I’m underweight due to my condition, but my human friends are working on that, too—I get a buffet of food choices to help me keep my weight up.

I’m so lovable and have so much love to give that I’ve recently been diagnosed with an enlarged heart. Still a heart of gold, just bigger. I am a special girl and want to be the queen of the household, since I don’t like other cats, dogs, or very young children. Do we sound like a fit? If so, I’d love to meet you!
